How To Check Admission Status in JAMB CAPS portal and ACCEPT or REJECT

Candidates awaiting their admission status can now check the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to check their admission status. Follow the simple steps below on how to check admission status in CAPS portal.

Step 1

Candidates awaiting admission should visit the CAPS portal to check admission status

http://caps.jamb.gov.ng/app_candidates/acceptadmission.aspx

Step 2

Enter your JAMB registration number in the space you indicated as UTME Registration Number and click on submit.

Step 3

Your details including JAMB score, institution, date of birth, Course offered e.t.c will appear. If it's blank or you have not been offered admission, just keep checking back. 

Step 4

If you are given admission and you like the school then click on accept admission.

Step 5

Be careful not to accept admission when you are yet to be offered or if you have hope of gaining admission in a better school. Once you accept the admission offered, admission to any other institution is closed for that year.

NOTE:

1. If youu see not admitted yet in your CAPS portal it means your school is yet to start admission and all  you have to do is close the page and keep checking back, Do not click on the accept admission tab. By the time your school of choice releases her admission list you will see both "ACCEPT AND DECLINE" icon. Please do not click on "ACCEPT" until you receive an admission notification from your school of choice.

2. When you have not been offered admission by any school and you mistakenly accept the admission I don't think that would be an issue. The main cause for alarm is when you have been offered admission in a particular school and you accepted.  It then means that your admission for that year has closed.
